Shamanic Breatwork Journey

Conscious breathing and shamanic journeying

What is a Shamanic Breathwork Journey?

A Shamanic Breathwork Journey is a powerful inner experience that weaves breathing techniques like conscious connected breathing with ancient shamanic practices. This journey opens the door to altered states of consciousness, where the thinking mind softens, and the deeper intelligence of your body and soul can speak.

Through rhythmic breath and steady drumming, the brain enters a theta state, a place between waking and dreaming. This is where insight, imagery, and soul-level communication become available.

You might meet inner archetypes, ancestral wisdom, totem animals or simply feel your nervous system recalibrate and harmonize in ways words can’t fully explain.

This journey is not about fixing or forcing. It’s about remembering. Listening. Traveling into the deeper layers of your being to reclaim lost parts of yourself, release what no longer serves, and return more whole, grounded, and aligned. Enriched with a deep embodied experience.

Breath becomes your compass, an ancient tool of transformation. Through conscious connected breathing, a doorway opens to personal and spiritual growth. As you breathe, your system begins to self-regulate, release built-up tension, and free emotional or energetic imprints held within the body.

What makes this experience unique is the way it bridges the physical and the spiritual. It’s not just breathwork. It’s not just a journey. It’s a sacred meeting of both—where the body is honored as a gateway to healing, and your spirit is invited to speak.

Whether you’re seeking insight, connection, release and integration, or simply space to return to yourself, this journey offers a safe and supportive container to meet whatever arises—with courage, compassion, and presence.

What to Expect

Every journey is unique, guided by your breath, your intention, and what your soul is ready to reveal.

We’ll begin by setting an intention, followed by a gentle transition into breath awareness. Depending on what’s needed in the moment, we may explore one or more breathing techniques before flowing into conscious connected breathing—supported by rhythmic music or the sounds of the shamanic drum.

As your breath deepens and the thinking mind quiets, you enter a non-ordinary state of consciousness, a liminal space where deep insight, emotional release, and healing can occur.

You may experience:

  • Shifts in energy or emotion
  • Visuals, memories, or messages from your inner world
  • Connection with archetypes, ancestors, spirit guides, or totem animals
  • Physical sensations or movements as energy moves and rebalances
  • A deep sense of peace, clarity, or reconnection with your true self

After the breathing journey, there is time to gently return, integrate, and reflect. You’ll be held in a supportive space throughout the process—with reverence, care, and respect for whatever arises.

FAQ's

No. You don’t need any previous experience. You’ll be guided every step of the way. All that’s needed is an open heart and a willingness to explore.

Conscious connected breathing is a breathing technique in which you breathe without pauses between inhalation and exhalation. Your breath flows in a continuous circle, allowing energy and emotions stored in your body to move. It is a powerful, natural way to promote healing, processing, and enhancing self-awareness. This rhythmic breathing helps you drop out of your head, release tension, and open and explore deeper layers of yourself. It supports the regulation of your nervous system and deepens your inner journey, which is why this way of breathing is also referred to as transformational breath or rebirthing breathwork.

It’s completely normal to experience resistance during a conscious connected breathwork session, both physically and mentally. This can show up as cramps, tingling sensations, or thoughts that resist the process. These are common responses to the deep physical and energetic processes being set in motion.

Physiologically, these sensations often occur because of the faster breathing rhythm, which leads to a greater release of CO2. This can result in temporary muscle tension, cramping, or shivering. At the same time, your body may be holding on to old emotions or memories rising from your subconscious. Resistance might try to block the process, but it’s also a sign where your body shows that something is starting to move.

This resistance can actually be an invitation: breathe toward the area where discomfort is present. Not to fix it or push it away, but to create space for them. The breath doesn’t judge. It’s your willingness to stay present that allows the process to deepen.

Every breathwork session is unique and offers exactly what you need in that moment. These responses are not wrong, they are often signs of healing and transformation. By staying with your breath, gently and consciously, you support that unfolding.

While this practice is safe for most, it’s not recommended for those who are pregnant, have epilepsy, severe cardiovascular conditions, or unmanaged mental health concerns. If you’re unsure, reach out to see if this is the right fit for you.
